  • Our training is effective, kind, and inclusive of the whole family using motivating and most of all fun methods to educate . Our training style uses functional reward based training that is not physically or physiologically intimidating. We believe in using science – backed learning principles that promote happy humans and dogs.  We believe that by building a relationship founded on love and logic you and your dog can enjoy life to the fullest!

    I utilize positive reinforcement (that means using treats and toys to help the dog understand what we want them to do.) Our methods also line up with LIMA principles.

  • Rayne is a CGC and Trick Dog Evaluator through the AKC, an active student with the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy and will be testing with the The International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants in the Fall of 2025.

Meet the Trainer

Rayne McGirr is the founder and Head Trainer of Focused Fido Training. She harbors an amazing passion for working with animals. Her journey began 12 years ago when she followed in the footsteps of a family member to become a dog trainer. Since then, she has cultivated her skills and earned several certificates in regards to her field. Her need for personal knowledge and growth combined with the love and care she shows each of her clients makes her an excellent trainer and educator.

Rayne grew up in North Texas and shares a love for Nature, Animals, and Education. On her days off you can find her hiking in the woods or taking her dog for a run. She currently lives with her Husband, Christopher, and their dog, Soda (Border Collie mix).

Rayne and Chris both share a love for the outdoors and exercise and are always going on fun adventures with their dog or participating in a marathon or two. Rayne brings an understanding and optimistic attitude to every situation which leads to her being loved by animals and humans alike.

Meet our training assistants

KOdi

Kodi is our senior Training assistant, He is 12 years young and has been helping dogs and humans alike since he was just a pup!

When Kodi isn’t helping a pup in training during class you can find him out on a sniff walk or curled up in his favorite bed.

You may see him in action if your dog is working on dog distraction or perhaps you have a new puppy just starting in our puppy program.

SODA

Soda is a 4 year old Border collie mix. He is currently working on his Trick dog titles , foundations for frisbee, and starring in the Focused Fido Training Videos.

Soda spends his time hiking, training, and of course getting all the cuddles from his guardians.

Soda is a dog-selective pup, meaning he may not enjoy the company of strange dogs, or large groups of dogs. Not all dogs love these settings and that’s okay! This means he may not help out with an in-person training session as he prefers to work from home.
